Denise is a Swiss director whose taste for creative direction and story telling makes her process truly versatile and unique.Denise started out as a window display and exhibition designer in Switzerland. She moved on to study graphic design & illustration at the University of Arts London followed by an MA in animation at the Royal College of Art.
Upon graduation she moved to Norway where she made short films, created animated commercials and lectured animation and illustration. Her multidisciplinary background and wide range of work caught the attention of an award winning New York based animation production company. This ultimately led her to live and work as a freelance director in New York directing animated, mixed media and live action films for various clients and production companies.
Most recently, Denise has led and directed a four spot campaign for SPDRs at Ataboy studios. Other recent work includes a fundraising film for the Smithsonian Archives of American Art and a brand film for FiLIP ‘The world’s first phone for kids’ together with Leo Burnett New York. Denise continues to develop her personal work creating short films such as Wanda Løper, a new animated short film for children which is financially supported by various Norwegian funding bodies.
She now lives between New York and Zurich and when not directing or making films she enjoys spending time in the nature with her Norwegian husband and their little son.
